Even though I’m a North-sider, Katklaw777 and I agree on the dog. “Vienna, All Beef” is the way to go.

Actually the going name brand was specific, "Vienna, All-Beef Hot Dogs." They had a good snap when you bit in to them. I will say one thing tho, ours were always on a poppy seed hot dog bun. That nay have been a local tradition and I never, never ate those peppers! I remember tossing them to a squirrel once and he didn't like them either!
