  • Two pounds of ground beef, lean
  • One cup of panko breadcrumbs
  • Two large eggs, lightly beaten
  • One large white onion, minced
  • One tablespoon of minced garlic
  • One tablespoon of olive oil
  • One teaspoon of caraway seeds
  • One teaspoon of black pepper
  • One teaspoon of salt
  • Half teaspoon of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef with the eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, pepper, garlic, red pepper flakes, and caraway seeds. Then, gently mix the ingredients with your hands until they incorporate.
  2. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper, scoop one to one-and-a-half tablespoons of the beef mixture and form it into a ball between your palms. Place the meatball on the lined baking pan and repeat the process until all the beef mixture is used.
  3. Place a non-stick skillet on medium-high heat and add the oil. When it starts shimmering, add the meatballs in batches, so the pan isn’t overcrowded.
  4. Cook the meatballs until fully browned on all sides, for about 10 to 12 minutes. You may also check for an internal temperature of 160F with a meat thermometer. Then, remove the meatballs with a slotted spoon and use them as desired.
