Scale
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F or 204°C.
- Wash and trim the ends of the green beans, if necessary.
- If you want super-easy clean-up, optionally line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Place your green beans on the sheet. Drizzle the oil over the top. Add 1/4 teaspoon of each salt and pepper, or more to suit your taste.
- Using your hands, gently mix the ingredients, so the beans are coated with oil.
- Bake the green beans for 15 minutes and check for doneness. They can roast for an additional 10 minutes if you like them slightly charred and crispy.
Notes
You can experiment with other seasonings too. Try lemon pepper, Parmesan cheese, sliced almonds, or paprika. You can also roast them as instructed and then squeeze fresh lemon over the cooked beans.
