How to Cook a 10 lb Ham (3)

Oven-Baked Ham (1/3 pound per serving)

  • Author: Bobby

Ingredients

Scale
  • One whole ham, 10 pounds, cook before eating
  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • Three tablespoons of pineapple juice
  • Two tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • Whole cloves

Instructions

  1. Prep the oven to 325F, then put the ham on a roasting pan and cook uncovered for 18 to 20 minutes per pound. The ham should be done when the internal temperature reaches at least 160F
  2. Remove the ham around 30 minutes before doneness time and increase the oven to 425F. Slash a crisscross pattern on the fatty surface.
  3. Mix the brown sugar and mustard with the pineapple juice and brush the mixture over the slashed patterns. Then, place a clove on each intersection of the pattern.
  4. Return the oven to 325F and place the glazed ham in, then cook for the final 30 minutes or until doneness is reached.
