Oranges are not just a vibrant addition to your daily meal. They bring a lot of nutrition for the body too. It is loaded with Vitamin C and is known to help reduce the risk of ischemic strokes among women.
I love to use fresh oranges for juice instead of the canned or processed ones. Also, The Daring Kitchen recommends using a masticating juicer to get the tastiest juice. There are lots of other ways in which oranges can be added to your daily diet. Orange Julius is a fun recipe and very easy to make too.
A lot of you may even remember seeing orange Julius stalls in the malls. So whether you are looking for a taste of that childhood mall visit or simply craving for something deliciously orange, this recipe is for you.
All ingredients used in the recipe are very easily available, and it will be whipped up in less than 5 minutes.
The first orange Julius stand showed up in Los Angeles and was owned by Julius Freed. It was in the mid-1920s, but at that time the juice was mostly orange and less creamy.
As Julius Freed experimented with other ingredients, the frothy orange juice became a big hit and Julius ended up whipping lots of orange juices for customers who lined up every day.
People started shouting, “Give me an orange, Julius” and we got the perfect name for this delicious drink which falls somewhere between a smoothie and a milkshake. It is perfectly balanced in creaminess and has a sweet taste making it more of a dessert.
