Units
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tablespoon burger seasoning blend
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 4 slices deli ham
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
Mustard spread
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare the spread
Heat a griddle, skillet, or grill over medium heat. In a small bowl, mix together the mustard spread ingredients (yellow mustard and mayonnaise) until smooth; set aside. - Season and form the patties
Combine the ground chicken with the burger seasoning blend and olive oil in a bowl. Mix gently until just combined, then shape the mixture into evenly sized burger patties. - Cook the chicken burgers
Place the patties on the heated griddle or skillet. Cook until the bottoms are browned and the patties are cooked through, about 5 to 6 minutes per side (until the internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C). - Add ham and cheese
During the last minute of cooking, top each cooked patty with a slice of deli ham and a slice of Swiss cheese. Cover or fold a lid over the pan to help the cheese melt. - Assemble the burgers
Toast the hamburger buns if desired. Spread the prepared mustard mixture on the buns, place a cheesy cordon bleu patty on each bottom bun, then add any additional toppings you like before placing the top bun.
