- Five medium artichokes
- ½ cup melted butter
- One lemon, cut in wedges
- Rinse the artichokes in running cold water over the sink, gently pushing the leaves open so they’re thoroughly cleaned.
- Trim the stem, and cut one inch off each artichoke. Then, slice off the sharp points of the leaves in a trim.
- Envelop the artichokes in plastic wrap and place them in the microwave. Set to HIGH and let it cook for about 15 to 18 minutes. Check for doneness by piercing the stem with a fork or knife. If it goes in quickly, the artichokes are ready.
- Take the artichokes down and carefully remove the plastic wrap to avoid exposing your hands to the steam. Then, serve with the melted butter and lemon wedges.
