Homemade bagel bites 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of fresh milk
  • 1 fresh egg
  • Half a cup of butter
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 6 grams of yeast
  • 2 grams of salt
  • 525 grams of All-purpose flour

Equipment

  • Mixer
  • Bowls
  • Measuring spoons

Instructions

  1. In a small pot add 1 cup of fresh milk, Half a cup of butter, and heat it until it’s melted to 110°F (43° C).
  2. Pour it into a bowl and add 6 grams of yeast, 50 grams of sugar, 1 fresh egg, 525 grams of All purpose flour, and 2 grams of salt.
  3. Use a mixer to combine all these ingredients for about 3 minutes on low speed, and mix until it becomes elastic.
  4. After mixing, place the dough in a bowl and cover it with a plastic wrap for an hour so it rises.
  5. When the times up, rub some flour on the counter you’d be working on and start molding the dough into small balls.
  6. Place these balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let them rest and rise again for about 15 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350° F and place the baking sheet into it, bake for about 16 minutes, and remove when the time’s up.
  8. Serve with some syrup or however you like.
