Parmesan Pork Chops: Crispy Goodness

Prepared Parmesan pork chops on plate with pasta.

Parmesan pork chops are a simple and flavorful dinner option that come out crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. As a bonus, they’re pretty easy to make just right.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup flour
2 eggs
4 boneless pork chops
1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
6 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prep. Preheat the oven to 350°F or 177°C. Grab three pie plates. Add the flour to one, whisk the eggs in another, and mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and pepper in the third. Prepare one baking sheet lined with parchment paper and another lined with foil.
  2. Bread the chops. Dip each pork chop in the flour, then the egg, then the breadcrumbs. Set them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper as you go.
  3. Fry. Heat oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook undisturbed for 4 minutes on each side. They should be nicely browned.  browned on the bottom, turn over and cook until browned on the other side. Transfer the chops to the baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the pork chops are fully cooked. The internal temperature needs to be 145°F or 63°F. Depending on the thickness of your chops, this could take 15 to 25 minutes.
