  • Yield: 10 Servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 3 chopped water chestnuts
  • 1 package of wonton wrappers
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl combine pork, green onion, 1 beaten egg, salt, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, water, and water chestnuts.
  2. Mix together thoroughly.
  3. In a bowl beat together the two eggs. Lay out a wonton wrapper and place a heaping teaspoon of the filling into the center of the wrapper.
  4. Brush egg on 2 edges on one side of the wrapper. Fold over to form a triangle and seal the edges tightly with your finger. Repeat until all the wrappers and/or filling are used.
  5. Heat oil in a deep-fryer to 375 degrees F.
  6. Fry wontons in batches until fully cooked (the internal temperature has reached 160 degrees F.) and golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Repeat until all of the wontons are fried.
