In a medium saucepan melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for a couple of minutes.
Remove from heat. Add lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Allow the sauce to cool. Reserve half of the sauce in a bowl for brushing.
Mix the renaming half of the sauce with the raw shrimp and marinate for 30 minutes. Thread the shrimp onto the wooden skewers.
Heat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Place the shrimp skewers onto the grill and cook while brushing with the reserved marinade for 2-3 minutes per side or until the shrimp are pink.
