Updated on October 4th, 2025

This Casey’s breakfast pizza recipe is a fun one to make when you want something a little different for breakfast. It’s made with creamy Velveeta cheese sauce instead of tomato sauce, which gives it that rich, cheesy flavor that makes every bite so comforting. The pizza is topped with scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, and mozzarella, so it’s filling enough to start your morning right. It’s simple to prepare and a great way to bring the taste of a Casey’s breakfast to your own kitchen.

Why this recipe works

  • Cheesy base: The melted Velveeta gives the pizza a smooth, creamy layer that makes it rich and flavorful without being too heavy.
  • Easy steps: Each part of the recipe is simple to follow, from cooking the sausage to scrambling the eggs, so it comes together with little effort.
  • Balanced toppings: The mix of eggs, sausage, and cheese gives the pizza both protein and flavor, making it a complete breakfast in every slice.
  • Family friendly: Everyone loves breakfast foods, and this pizza brings them all together in a fun and familiar way that both kids and adults enjoy.
  • Make-ahead option: You can cook the sausage and eggs the night before, so all you have to do in the morning is assemble and bake.

Serving suggestions

  • Morning meal: Serve a few slices of this breakfast pizza with orange juice or coffee for a warm and filling start to the day.
  • Weekend brunch: Add fresh fruit, crispy hash browns, and a small salad to make it a more complete and relaxed brunch spread.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 prepared pizza crust
  • 4 ounces Velveeta cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1/2lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place the pizza dough onto the pizza pan and flatten out (if you are using a ready-made crust, you do not need to do this).
  2. In a large skillet, add the breakfast sausage and cook over medium-high heat while breaking up into chunks with a spatula until fully cooked.
  3. In a medium bowl whisk together the eggs, salt, and pepper until blended. Heat 1 teaspoon of butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture. As the eggs begin to set, gently pull them across the pan with a spatula, forming large curds. Continue cooking while pulling and folding the eggs until thicken and no visible liquid egg remains. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Slice up the Velveeta cheese. Place it in an even layer on top of the dough. Place into the oven and bake for 5 minutes. Using a knife spread the Velveeta out so that it covers the dough, except for on the outer edges).
  5. Layer the scrambled eggs and crumbled sausage over the Velveeta. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake for an additional 13-15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the crust is lightly browned.
