- Adjust your oven’s temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) and let it heat up. Use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to line a large baking sheet.
- Trim the ends off each piece of carrot before slicing them into 1 inch thick slices diagonally. The carrots will shrink as they roast.
- Combine the carrot slices with oil, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. You should also add maple syrup and cumin if you decide to adapt your recipe to the maple cumin version. Toss the carrots in the bowl with the oil and seasoning until they become fully coated.
- Arrange the carrots in a single layer on the baking sheet that has already been prepared.
- Roast the carrot slices for 15 minutes, toss them, and then allow them to continue roasting for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the carrots become soft and develop a caramelized quality around the edges. (Roast for a further 5 to 10 minutes if you want them to get even more caramelized.)
These oven-roasted carrots are delicious, as well as quick and easy to prepare. It should take you an entire duration of about 30 minutes, including a prep time of 5 minutes and a cook time of 25 minutes until you get your results.
