- 2lbs ground beef
- garlic butter (pre-made or homemade)
- garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 6 slices American cheese
- 6 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Toast the buns. Spread the garlic butter on the cut sides of the hamburger buns. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and place the buns butter-side down. Toast until lightly golden, then remove and set aside.
- Shape and cook the burgers. Divide the ground beef into 6 equal patties. Preheat an outdoor grill or a large skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the patties, turning once, until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
- Melt the cheese. During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with a slice of cheese and cook until fully melted.
- Assemble the burgers. Place a cheeseburger on each toasted bottom bun. Spread a little additional garlic butter over the top of each burger.
- Finish and serve. Add the top buns, brush them lightly with melted butter, and sprinkle with garlic salt. Serve immediately while hot.
