The garlic green beans at the Chinese buffet are always good but they are even better when you make them at home. These green beans are stir-fried with fresh minced garlic and a sauce. This recipe is so easy to prepare it can be on the table in no time as a side-dish. The sauce is just a combination of sugar, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. If you want to add a little bit of heat you can add some crushed red pepper flakes. Enjoy.
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1lb fresh green beans (trimmed)
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- Heat the peanut oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and stir-fry for 20 seconds. Add the green beans and stir-fry until they begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Reduce heat to medium. Continue cooking for several minutes until the green beans have become as tender as you like them.
