How Long Does It Take To Cook Mushrooms

How Long Does It Take To Cook Mushrooms (3)

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. (227 g) mushrooms (dried and cleaned)
  • 12 Tablespoons (15 ml) of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) soy sauce
  • Kosher salt
  • black pepper
  • lemon wedges (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) of chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cut small to medium mushrooms in half if using. Alternatively, chop huge mushrooms into quarters (depending on preferred size). Toss mushrooms with oil, garlic powder, soy/Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Air fry for 10-12 minutes at 380°F, shaking and stirring midway through. Stir roughly three times if you’re cooking a lot of mushrooms for even cooking. Serve with fresh herbs or chopped parsley and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  3. 3-4 qt air fryers are used for this recipe. If you use a larger air fryer, the recipe may cook faster, thus adjusting the frying time accordingly. If you’re doubling the recipe and frying in batches, the first batch will take longer to cook because the Air Fryer hasn’t been pre-heated. The timing for this recipe assumes that the Air Fryer is not preheated. Set a timer to shake, flip, or toss the food as suggested in the recipe.
