Grilled Mahi Mahi (2 Servings)

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 mahi-mahi filets, 6 ounces each
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon of kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of butter, melted
  • 1 lemon, cut into halves (optional ingredient)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional ingredient for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Brush the mahi-mahi fillets with olive oil on all sides and place aside on a sheet tray.
  2. Combine the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper in a small bowl. Season the top and sides of the fish with the seasoning. Make the most of everything! Season the fish with the spice.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and grease the grates.
  4. Place the mahi-mahi flesh side down once the pan is heated. Place the lemon halves cut side down on the grill if you’re cooking them. Grill the fish for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the desired doneness is reached. To avoid breaking up the fish, only flip it once or as little as possible. A temperature of 165°F is considered well done.
  5. Remove the mahi-mahi and grilled lemon from the grill and brush the tops of the fish with melted butter. Set aside for a few minutes before serving. Optional ways to garnish include parsley and grilled lemon halves.
