Updated on July 31st, 2025

This chicken Lombardy recipe is a flavorful copycat of the version served at Olive Garden, made with crispy breaded chicken topped with melted cheese, creamy Alfredo sauce, and smoky bacon. It’s the kind of dish that feels special without being too complicated to make at home. Each bite is a blend of rich, savory flavors layered over golden brown chicken. If you’re craving restaurant-style comfort food, this one is definitely worth adding to your dinner rotation.

Why this recipe works

  • Crispy coated chicken: Breaded and pan-fried until golden, the chicken has a crisp exterior that pairs well with the creamy sauce.

  • Cheesy topping: A mix of smoked mozzarella and provolone melts beautifully over the chicken, giving it a savory finish.

  • Flavorful sauce: The warm Alfredo sauce adds a rich, creamy element that brings everything together.

  • Bacon for texture and taste: Crispy bacon crumbles on top give a salty crunch that balances the dish.

Serving suggestions

  • Serve over pasta: This recipe goes well with linguini, fettuccine, or spaghetti to soak up the Alfredo sauce and complete the meal.

  • Add a simple green salad: A light side salad with vinaigrette can balance the richness of the dish.

  • Pair with roasted vegetables: Try roasted broccoli, asparagus, or green beans for a colorful and healthy addition.

  • Serve for guests: This dish looks and tastes restaurant-quality, making it a great choice for dinner parties or special occasions.
