Why a George Foreman’s Grill for your Steak?

The following are just a few of the many benefits that George Foreman Grill offers:

Preserves flavor and nutrients- There is no doubt that having the flavor and nutrients of one’s meal is something that cannot be overemphasized. These nutrients and flavors are the core parts of any meal, and for steaks, it’s what brings out their taste. To achieve this, George Foreman Grill uses a unique technology of extra grease removal at grilling to prepare wholesome dietetic steaks while preserving their flavoring and nutritional qualities.

Easy maintenance- One of the worries that most people have when it comes to using grills is the issue of maintaining the grills. Cleaning an indoor grill is straightforward. There are no additional preparations required. Cleaning them is simple as a result. The dishwasher may be used to clean the majority of the pieces of the indoor grill. As a result, you can clean them in the dishwasher with ease. Other elements that need to be cleaned by hand are likewise simple.

It gives fast results- You will be able to prepare your steak quickly if you use an indoor grill. Grilling on an outside grill takes a long time. Indoor grills, such as the George Foreman, on the other hand, tenderize your meat in less time while maintaining the same taste as outdoor cooking.

Tips on Preparing Steak with George Foreman Grill

Let the steak reach ambient temperature- Taking a steak straight from the fridge to the grill will not result in an evenly cooked steak since the outside of the meat will cook faster than the inside. Remove the steaks from the fridge about half an hour before you plan to cook them, remove the wrapping, and set them on a platter to come to room temperature. Season the steaks with salt or any seasoning once they’ve reached room temperature.

Heat the Grill- Heat your grill to high heat to properly sear the steaks and get a crust outside while maintaining the inside cooked to your satisfaction. The most recommended steak size is 1 inch. For this size, the temperature must be 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cooking a Steak on George Foreman Grill

As you can see, preparing a great steak on a grill isn’t entirely left to the pro chef; with the George Foreman Grill, you can achieve good grilling results in less time. Let’s look at some instructions in this light.

Preheat the Grill

It’s as simple as plugging it in and turning on the grill. The grill is quite hot and ready to work when the light turns off; this should happen within five minutes. The grill plates are slanted, allowing fat to drop off while cooking.

Ensure the drip dish is in front of the grill before adding your steak. When preheating and grilling with George, remember to keep the cover covered.

The George Foreman Grill is a dual-contact electric grill, meaning it grills the meat directly on both sides. It also doesn’t get as hot as a grill outside. Four to seven minutes for medium-rare and seven to nine minutes for the medium are the suggested cooking periods for a half to one-inch steak.

Fitting the Plates

One plate at a time should be inserted. The bottom grill plate has two little tabs on one side, one at each end, while the top grill plate has one huge tab in the center. Place the tab in the slot on the hinge side of the appliance for the top plate.

Place the tabs in the slots on the backside of the appliance for the bottom grill plate. To secure the plate, press the other edge into the handle side. The non-stick surfaces may show wear when the top and bottom plates come into touch. This is just decorative and has no bearing on the grill’s functionality.

Let the Steak Rest

During those few minutes, the steak is still cooking. This cooking method is advantageous because it prevents the steak from becoming dry, as would be the case if it were left on the grill for an extended period.

Slicing into the steak disrupts the last few minutes of cooking by abruptly releasing the steak’s heat. Just set aside for a few minutes to allow the meat to rest before serving.

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the steak and place in a Ziploc bag in a bowl or cup. It would help if you mixed the steak with the sauce and then marinated it for half an hour. Leaving it overnight in the fridge could even be a better option. If you’re in a rush, at least let it absorb up the taste for a few moments.
  2. Heat your George Foreman Grill with the top covered for at least 5 minutes. Use the high setting if you have it. Add steak and close lid.
  3. Grill steak for 4-7 minutes for medium-rare doneness. Grill for six to nine minutes for medium doneness (medium-rare steaks can be done as short as two to three minutes). You can check based on the size of your meat.
