- Set aside the steak in a gallon-sized zip lock bag.
- Combine the following ingredients: olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, brown sugar, paprika, thyme, oregano, coriander, pepper and salt. Do the mixing in a small mixing bowl. Add less salt if you’re not using low-sodium soy sauce; you can also add more later if you want.
- In a zip lock bag, pour the marinade well over the steak, seal the bag, and knead the marinade properly into the meat. Allow the steak to marinate for 1 hour, or chill it in the refrigerator for up to 8 hours.
- Remove the steak from the refrigerator 20 minutes ahead of when you plan to cook it.
- Preheat the oven to a BROIL setting. If your broiler has HIGH and LOW settings, choose HIGH.
- Preheat a 12-inch cast-iron skillet over a high-temperature level until it gets really hot.
- Take the steak out of the marinade, shake off whatever excess marinade bits are on the steak, then place it in a heated skillet to sizzle. Cook the steak for 2 minutes, then flip it and cook for another minute, or until it is lightly browned.
- Broil the steak for 5 minutes in the oven afterward, then rotate the meat and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 125°F to 130°F. If you cook it any longer, the steak will become tough and chewy. Check for doneness with a quick read meat thermometer.
- Remove the steak from the skillet in the oven and place it on a cutting board to rest for 8 to 10 minutes before you cut into the steaks.
- Garnish with parsley after slicing thinly.
- Serve and enjoy your delicious steak.
