Ingredients you need to make baked pork chops
This is an easy ingredient list. You probably have most of these on hand:
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar

How to make baked pork chops
Well it’s kind of our niche at BlogChef, but this recipe is easy peezy. You do two things: Make a sauce and cook your pork.
1. Make the sauce
Combine the soy sauce, vegetable oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, and ketchup in a bowl. Whisk to combine.
2. Bake then broil the pork
Preheat your oven to 350°F or 175°C. Place the pork chops into a baking dish and cover with half of the sauce. Bake the chops uncovered for 15 minutes. Flip them and pour on the remaining sauce.
At this point, I like to insert a thermometer into the center of the pork. Pork easily gets dried out if overcooked, so the leave-in thermometer helps you avoid that scenario. Cook the pork until the internal temperature gets within a few degrees of 145°F or 67°C.
Now turn on your broiler. Pop the chops under the broiler for a couple minutes to get those browned edges. Remove and let rest for 3 minutes. Optionally, top with sliced green onions and serve.
Side dish ideas for baked pork chops
Mashed potatoes
Creamy mashed potatoes provide a comforting and hearty accompaniment to the savory pork chops. Season them with butter, salt, and pepper for a classic pairing.
Or, for an upgrade, mix caramelized onions into your mashed potatoes. That’ll go delightfully with the Worcestershire and brown sugar in the sauce on the pork.

This is an easy and flavorful way to make boneless pork chops. It has a mild Asian flavor thanks to the soy sauce. All the sauce ingredients are pantry staples, too!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 6 pork chops, trimmed
- Sliced green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F or 175°C.
- In a small bowl, thoroughly blend soy sauce, vegetable oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, and ketchup.
- Place pork chops in a medium baking dish, and spread with 1/2 the sauce.
- Bake pork chops 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Turn, and spread with remaining sauce. Continue baking 20 minutes, or until internal temperature of the chops has reached 145°F or 63°C or even a few degrees less.
- Place the chops under the broiler for 2 minutes. Rest for 3 minutes and serve.

Hi, the story and recipe reads completely different. Should the chops be browned in a pan beforehand or not? Also, what is the actual cooking time as you list it at 30 min but in the recipe it is 30 mins aside?
