Chicken Wings in Air Fryer

Forget about deep-frying and mushy oven chicken wings. The air fryer combines the best of both worlds, resulting in crispy wings low in fat.
The air fryer has proven a lifesaver for individuals who can’t get enough fried dishes. It crisps up these wings while keeping them juicy and melt-in-your-mouth on the inside by employing hot, circulating air. All of this was accomplished with just a few coats of cooking spray. Amazing.
If you have a hankering for wings more often than you’d want to admit, this dish can be made in under 30 minutes and fit into any healthy diet. Before seasoning, blot your chicken totally dry with paper towels for the crispiest wings possible. Even better, refrigerate your wings for an hour or two uncovered in the refrigerator before patting dry and seasoning. What’s more, Don’t scrimp on the spice; while the sauce provides the main flavor punch, it alone won’t save a dull wing.

These wings are about to become your new go-to, whether you’re hosting a large gathering or having a few buddies around to watch a football game.

Tips for Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Which air fryer is the best for Chicken Wings?

Air fryers are available in two distinct styles. The first is a toaster oven with a small oven door, such as the Cuisinart one, the Farberware model my sister owns, or the pricey Breville model.

The second type is a slide-in drawer/basket air fryer, such as those made by Phillips, Gourmia, or Nuwave. The Cuisinart toaster oven-style air fryer is our favorite because it can hold more food and performs a number of tasks, and it replaced our old toaster oven because it air fries, bakes, broils, and toasts.

What is better to use fresh or frozen chicken wings in the air fryer?

You should prefer to prepare wings that are either fresh or thawed. Defrosting frozen chicken in cold water takes only a few hours. However, air frying them from frozen only takes 6-10 minutes longer if you’re only using a pound of wings.

What’s an excellent chicken wing side dish?

These crispy chicken wings pair well with a wide range of dishes. Serve with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing made from scratch. Serve them with a good side dish, such as macaroni and cheese, if you want.
