Procedure

Whether honey-glazed, cola glazed, or mustard honey glazed ham, we will make use of the following procedures;

  1. Prepare your ham by scoring a diamond pattern into the skin, taking care not to cut into the meat itself. Scoring will allow the glaze to seep into the meat.
  2. Apply the glaze to the ham. You do this by coating your mixed honey with spices or coca-cola with brown sugar on your ham, depending on the type of glaze you want.
  3. Place your glazed ham in a roasting pan and cover with aluminum foil.
  4. Remember that your ham is already pre-cooked, and you’re only warming it up again with the glaze.
  5. Preheat oven to 325°F, place your glazed ham in it. Warm-up to 120°F. Every 30 minutes, uncover the ham and baste with juices and then recover the ham.
  6. Place the ham under the broiler to brown the skin for about 15 minutes. Remove the ham from the roasting pan, slice, and serve.
  7. You can serve your glazed ham with roasted broccolini, cheesy garlic butter rolls, farro salad, creamed spinach, mixed with bread for a sandwich, and many more side dishes.
