Carne Asada Quesadillas Recipe

Carne Asada Quesadillas
Carne Asada quesadillas are loaded with delicious grilled carne asada steak and cheese and to make things even better there is a avocado-lime sauce for dipping. The steak gets a ton of flavor from the marinade. You will want the steak to marinade for at least 6 hours to allow the flavor to develop. Once the steak has finished marinating it is grilled and sliced and then used to make the quesadillas on the stovetop. If you want you could grill the quesadillas as well and not use the stove at all. The avocado-lime sauce is delicious for dipping or you could use it as a spread when preparing the quesadillas. Enjoy.

How to Make a Quesarito

se on top of the tortillas. Place another tortilla on top of the cheese. Place a damp paper towel on top. Place into the microwave and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until the cheese has melted.

In the center of the prepared quesadilla add some of the ground beef, top with some of the cilantro-lime rice. Add a little bit of the chipotle sauce and sour cream. Roll up the burritos by folding the corners towards the center and then grabbing the bottom and rolling up. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and cheese.

To cook them in the pan— spray a large skillet with cooking spray and heat the skillet to medium-high heat. Place the wraps into the skillet seam-side down and cook until golden brown and crisp on the bottom, turn over and cook until golden brown on the other side (about 2-3 minutes per side).

How to Make a Quesarito
This is a great recipe if you are looking for a tutorial on how to make a quesarito. The quesarito started as a secret menu item at Chipotle and was later added as a regular menu item at Taco Bell. This recipe is more like the one you would find at Taco Bell as far as the ingredients go but it could be adapted as a copycat recipe for either restaurant. The quesarito is basically a quesadilla that is wrapped up into a burrito. This burrito is stuffed with taco meat, cilantro-lime rice, chipotle sauce, and sour cream. The best way that I found to prepare the quesadilla is to microwave the cheese between two tortillas wrapped in paper towels. Once the tortillas come out of the microwave, the cheese is melted and the tortillas are soft and easy to roll into a burrito. The burritos can be browned in the pan but that is totally optional. There is a lot of work involved in this recipe but you can save time by using things such as packaged taco seasoning. Enjoy.

The burger is topped off with American cheese for even more flavor. You can add additional burger toppings as well. You can use a glass to make the hole in the beef patty or try using a spoon or butter knife, you will want to be careful when you are doing this to hold the shape of the burger patty. The homemade marinara sauce uses crushed tomatoes and gets a lot of its flavor from onion, garlic, oregano and basil. The meatballs use classic Italian ingredients such as parmesan cheese, Italian sausage, hamburger, and parsley. The meatballs are browned in the oven so there is no need to fry them in hot oil. After the meatballs are browned they are placed into the marinara sauce to simmer until fully cooked. This recipe will make about 8 to 10 servings, so you will be able to feed a large crowd or have leftovers. You can also freeze the meatballs and marinara for up to 1 month. You can serve the meatballs and sauce over pasta such as spaghetti or linguini. I also like to serve them with garlic bread. Enjoy.

Walking Taco Casserole Recipe

walking taco casserole
This walking taco casserole combines your favorite ingredients from a walking taco into a delicious casserole. Taco meat is layered in a baking dish with Frito chips, cheddar cheese soup and shredded Mexican cheese blend. Once the casserole has finished baking, it is topped off with lettuce and tomato. If you want to add some beans to this dish, you can mix refried beans or black beans right in with the ground beef mixture. You can serve this recipe with sour cream and salsa if you would like. Enjoy.

Million Dollar Spaghetti Recipe

million dollar spaghetti
I always enjoy a good spaghetti recipe and this Million Dollar Spaghetti is great. This spaghetti is baked in the oven in a casserole dish. Noodles are topped with butter and a cream cheese mixture, spaghetti sauce, and cheese. For the spaghetti sauce, I have included a simple sauce recipe but you could also use your favorite homemade sauce or store bought sauce. You can substitute the ground beef with Italian sausage if you would prefer. You can also replace the cheddar cheese with mozzarella or an Italian cheese blend might be good on this casserole. I like to serve this recipe with garlic bread. Enjoy.

Carne Asada Fries Recipe

Carne Asada Fries
These carne asada fries make a delicious appetizer. The fries are loaded with carne asada steak, cheese, guacamole and sour cream. The steak is marinated in ingredients such as lime juice, olive oil, cilantro and garlic. The steak is then grilled but it could also be fried in the pan. I like to save time by using frozen French fries but if you would prefer you could make your own. Any type of unseasoned French fry will work this recipe—steak fries, restaurant cut fries, etc. Another good topping option for this recipe would be some fresh pico de gallo. Enjoy.

Chili Cheese Sliders Recipe

Chili Cheese Sliders
These chili cheese sliders are a quick and easy burger recipe to prepare for gameday. Chili cheese sliders are burgers that are topped off with cheddar cheese, bacon and chili! To save time this recipe uses canned chili and you can use chili with or without beans. If you want to save additional time, you can use precooked bacon. If you would prefer to use regular bacon, cooking crispy bacon isn’t difficult at all. If you have trouble finding slider buns, any small bun will work such as dollar rolls or dinner rolls. The burgers can either be cooked in the pan, on a griddle or on an outdoor grill. I personally prefer the griddle or outdoor grill because I have enough room to cook all of the burgers at once. I like to serve these sliders with French fries. Enjoy.

Slow Cooker Steak Chili Recipe

  • by

slow cooker steak chili
Slow cooker steak chili makes a great dinner for the colder months. The steak and vegetables are partially cooked in the pan and then transferred to the crock pot to finish cooking. The combination of various ingredients in this recipe creates a delicious flavor. The semisweet chocolate chips and cinnamon really make this chili something special. This is a chili recipe with no beans but if you want, black beans would go great in this dish. Instead of using steak you can use cubed stew meat or cut up a boneless chuck roast. There is a little spice in this recipe from the jalapeno peppers and cayenne pepper. If you like your chili really spicy, you could add more cayenne or leave the seeds in the jalapenos. I like to top this chili off my cheddar cheese, green onions, extra cilantro, and sour cream. I also like to serve this chili with tortilla chips. Enjoy.

Pot Roast Grilled Cheese Recipe

Pot Roast Grilled Cheese
Pot roast grilled cheese is a great option if you are looking to use up leftoever meat from a pot roast. I must confess that I actually prepared a pot roast just for this grilled cheese sandwich! The juice from the dutch oven or slow cooker can be used as an au jus for dipping the grilled cheese sandwich in, it is truly amazing. This grilled cheese is topped with leftover pot roast meat, white cheddar cheese, and sautéed onion. I like to prepare my grilled cheese on a griddle because I can easily cook several of them at once. For the bread, I used French bread but a good whole grain bread would be an excellent choice as well. I like to serve this grilled cheese with French fries. Enjoy.

In-N-Out Burger Recipe

In-N-Out Burger
Here is a copycat recipe for the burger from In-N-Out Burger. We do not have In-N-Out Burger here so unfortunately I have never tried the real thing but this burger is delicious. The burger is topped with caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a sauce. The best part about this recipe of course is the sauce. The sauce is a combination of mayonnaise, ketchup, pickle relish, and white vinegar. These few ingredients come together to make a delicious sauce that gives the burgers a unique flavor. The caramelized onions are a nice touch as well and are sautéed in vegetable oil for about 30 minutes. You can either make these a double burger with 2 patties each or form the meat into 4 large patties. These burgers can be cooked in the frying pan but I prefer a griddle. I like to serve these burgers with French fries. Enjoy.

Jack Daniel’s Meatballs Recipe

  • by

Jack Daniel's Meatballs
I like to use Jack Daniel’s whiskey in all different types of recipes, including meatballs. These meatballs are flavored with Chinese ingredients such as soy sauce and green onion. For the meat I used ground pork but you could use ground beef as well. The meatballs consist of typical ingredients such as breadcrumbs, egg, and parmesan cheese. I like to add fresh garlic and green onion right into the meat mixture for even more flavor. Once the meatballs are rolled they are placed into the oven and baked. The sauce is boiled on the stove top and gets a lot of its flavor from Jack Daniels and soy sauce. You can double the sauce ingredients if you want a little more sauce for the noodles. I like to serve this dish over pasta noodles and sesame seed and green onions for a garnish. Enjoy.

Meatballs with Tomato Sauce Recipe

meatballs with tomato sauce
Meatballs with a homemade tomato sauce are perfect when served over spaghetti noodles. What I like about this recipe is that the meatballs are browned in and pan and then finished cooking right in the sauce. The meatballs use a few simple ingredients such as parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and parsley. You can use ground turkey or pork instead of the beef if you would prefer. The sauce is tomato based and gets a lot of its flavor from ingredients such as crushed tomatoes, bay leaves, onion and garlic. You will want to use a very deep skillet or pot for this recipe. I like to serve these meatballs with garlic bread or cheese sticks. Enjoy.

Poutine Pizza Recipe

  • by

poutine pizza
The ingredients of poutine go great on a freshly baked pizza. I came up with this idea from a poutine pizza that was on the menu at Pizza Hut in Canada recently. The sauce is a homemade gravy that gets a lot of flavor from beef broth, garlic, and ketchup. The pizza is topped off with French fries, sliced steak, and cheese curds. French fries may seem a little weird on a pizza and you may want to go easy on them. I like to use the home-style frozen French fries that you buy in the store but you can also make your own if you would prefer. This recipe is a little time consuming and I like to use a store bought pizza crust to save time. If there is any extra gravy you can use it to drizzle on top of the pizza or for dipping. If you are looking for a rather unique pizza recipe, give this one a try. Enjoy.

Double Decker Tacos Recipe

double decker tacos
This is a great tasting recipe for double decker tacos, just like the ones from Taco Bell—only better! A double decker taco is a flour tortilla covered with a refried bean spread and then wrapped around a hard-shell taco. The taco is loaded with ingredients such as taco meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and cilantro. Many additional ingredients can be added as well such as sour cream and salsa. The taco meat gets a lot of its flavor from seasonings such as chili powder and cumin. Even more flavor is added to the taco meat with tomato sauce and fresh lime juice. Enjoy.

Western Sliders Recipe

western sliders
These western burger sliders are topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, homemade onions rings, and BBQ sauce. The burger patties can either be fried in the pan, on a griddle or grilled on an outdoor grill. The best part about this recipe is the homemade onion strings. The onion strings require a little bit of work but it is well worth the extra effort. Thinly sliced onions are dipped first into buttermilk and then rolled in a seasoned flour mixture. The breaded onions are then fried in hot oil until crispy. You can use your favorite BBQ sauce for this recipe. These little burgers make another great recipe for football season. Enjoy.

Cincinnati Chili Recipe

Cincinnati Chili
This recipe isn’t your average chili, it’s Cincinnati Chili. This chili is perfect to prepare for football season game day parties. If you are looking for a chili recipe that has a different flavor from your normal chili, this recipe is perfect for you. What makes this chili so unique is the combination of flavors. Spices such as cinnamon and allspice help to create the great flavor of this chili. If you want you can prepare this recipe in large batches, you can by doubling the ingredients. The hamburger is this recipe is added right into the sauce mixture and not browned first—this helps to give the chili a little different texture. Once the chili has finished cooking it is topped off with shredded American cheese, diced onion and red kidney beans if desired. Enjoy.

Pepper Jack Steak Wraps Recipe

pepper jack steak wraps
Pepper jack steak wraps are loaded with sliced steak, pepper jack cheese, iceberg lettuce, pico de gallo, and a southwest sauce. These slightly spicy wraps are similar to the ones that can be found at Buffalo Wild Wings. Although this is not a copycat recipe for the pepper jack steak wraps at BWW, they are very good. The taste is similar but the southwest sauce has a different flavor than the sauce at BBW. I like to use whole wheat wraps for this recipe but you can use flour tortillas as well. Try and slice the steak as thinly as possible for the best results. The steak can be sliced first and then cooked, or the steak can be cooked whole and then sliced. I like to serve this recipe with French fries. Pepper jack steak wraps are a great option to prepare for game day. EnjoyRead More »Pepper Jack Steak Wraps Recipe
