Slow Cooker Pork Ragu

Slow cooker pork ragu recipe

    Slow Cooker Pork Ragu
A delicious meat sauce to serve over cooked pasta is pork ragu. You can prepare pork ragu on the stovetop but I prefer the slow cooker. Just simply throw all of the ingredients into the crock pot, let it cook, shred the meat and it is ready to serve. The ragu gets a lot of flavor from red wine, tomatoes, garlic, carrot and onion. You can use whatever type of pasta you want to this recipe but I used pappardelle. I like to serve this recipe with garlic bread on the side. Enjoy.

I then placed the chicken onto the pellet grill and smoked the chickens at 350 degrees F. for about an hour and 30 minutes. The flavor of the pellets that I used to cook this chicken were the hickory bbq hardwood pellets.

If you have access to fresh lobster, that’s perfect but if you live in a place like I do, you will probably have to get it frozen. You will want it thawed when grilling. I just left mine in the refrigerator overnight. The lobster tails are cut in half and then brushed with a garlic butter sauce and grilled. Just be careful not to overcook the lobster. Enjoy.

Chinese Empress chicken is one dish that I don’t see at any Chinese restaurants or buffets in the area. I am not exactly sure where this dish originated but it is delicious. The dish consists of breaded fried chicken pieces coated with a sauce and diced peppers. The sauce gets alot of flavor from soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, garlic and ginger. For the hot peppers you can use jalapenos. You can serve this recipe with white or brown rice. Enjoy.

The combination in this recipe of garlic, butter and lemon juice goes great brushed on shrimp. The sauce gets additional flavor from pepper and paprika. You will want to make sure that you don’t overcook the shrimp. You can use wooden or metal skewers for this recipe. If you are using wooden you will want to soak them in cold water first. I like to serve this recipe with wild rice on the side. Enjoy.

I love making roasted whole chicken in the oven for dinner. Roasted chicken is great when you add the flavors of butter, garlic and lemon to it. In this recipe the chicken is coated with butter, olive oil, parsley and garlic and then a little bit of lemon juice and white wine is added for even more flavor. The chicken is then stuffed with ingredients such as whole lemons, garlic and rosemary. You can serve this recipe with side dishes such as mashed potatoes or flavored rice and a salad. Enjoy.

This French toast is prepared very similarly to how you would make regular French toast but it is first dipped into the batter, then coated with cornflakes and fried in the pan. You can use whatever type of bread you want for this recipe but I recommend Texas toast. The batter gets a lot of flavor from ingredients such as cinnamon, vanilla, and sugar. Serve with maple syrup. Enjoy.

This recipe consists of pan-fried and roast chicken with garlic gravy. You can really use whatever type of chicken you want for this recipe but I used skin-on thighs. The chicken is first fried on the stovetop and then baked in a Dutch oven to finish cooking. The gravy gets a lot of its flavor from the garlic and thyme. This is a fairly easy meal to prepare. I like to serve this dish with mashed potatoes. Enjoy.

A great way to start off the grilling season is with beer brats. These brats are cooked in beer and then placed onto the grill to finish cooking. A delicious slaw is also added to these brats. The slaw is mainly oil and vinegar based (no mayo) and really adds a nice flavor to these brats. Enjoy.

This lasagna is layered with a meat sauce, mozzarella cheese and a ricotta cheese mixture. The sauce is an Italian Bolognese that gets a lot of flavor from celery, onion, carrots, and garlic. A little bit of red wine is added into the sauce for amazing flavor. The sauce uses two meats—ground beef and pork. The ricotta layer gets a lot of flavor from fresh basil and parmesan cheese. Preparing lasagna does require a good amount of work but it is well worth it. You can serve this recipe with garlic bread on the side. Enjoy.

This recipe is very easy to prepare and you can use store bought chorizo to save time but if you want, I would suggest making your own! You can even add scrambled eggs and salsa to these tacos if you want. I would suggest using corn tortillas but you can of course use flour instead. You can also add some shredded cheddar cheese if you want. If you are interested in making our own chorizo please see my recipe for homemade chorizo sausage. Enjoy.

This beef roast gets a lot of its flavor from au jus and ranch dressing seasoning packets. Additional flavor comes from pepperoncini. To prepare this recipe simply add everything to the slow cooker and let it cook for 8 hours and then shred the beef and it is ready to serve. I like to serve this roast with mashed potatoes and use the sauce in the crockpot as a gravy. Enjoy.

The chicken in his recipe is coated with seasoning and then fried in a pan for a few minutes and finished cooking in the oven. You can cook these fully in the oven if you want but the cook-time will be a little longer, so make sure that you check the chicken with a meat thermometer to make sure that it is fully cooked. Frying the chicken breast in the pan helps to get the skin crispy. I like to throw in a few cut up red potatoes cover in olive oil with a little salt and pepper. It is delicious. Enjoy.

Chinese chicken balls are pieces of chicken that are coated with a batter and then fried and served with sweet and sour sauce. The sweet and sour sauce gets a lot of its flavor from ketchup, vinegar, and pineapple juice. If you don’t have pineapple juice you can just use water but the flavor won’t be exactly the same. If you would like a loss that is a little bit less sweet simply add less sugar. You can fry the chicken pieces in a large pot or a deep-fryer, using a deep-fryer will be a bit easier. I like to serve this recipe with white rice. Enjoy.
