Apple cider glazed pork chops recipe

    apple glazed pork chops
There are several different ways to prepare pork chops on the grill but a delicious apple cider glaze is always a good option. These pork chops on bone-in but you can also use boneless if you would prefer. The pork chops are first rubbed with a spice mixture, placed onto the grill and brushed with an apple cider glaze. The apple cider glaze is nothing more than a simple combination of apple cider, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, crushed red pepper flakes, and salt. These pork chops are perfect for summer cookouts. I like to serve this recipe with a cold salad on the side. Enjoy.

Breaded chicken topped with melted cheese and bacon

    Breaded chicken with bacon recipe

Bacon is always a great topping for many dishes. This breaded chicken with bacon consists of fried chicken coated with breadcrumbs and topped off with bacon and cheese. The chicken is first coated with flour, then dipped in egg and then rolled in a breadcrumb and parmesan cheese mixture. The chicken is first fired in the pan until browned and then baked in the oven to finish the cooking process. If you want a save a little time, you can use pre-cooked bacon for this recipe and crumble it. You may need less of the flour and breadcrumb mixture depending on the size of the chicken breasts you are using. I like to serve this dish with wild rice. Enjoy.

Ham steak with red-eye gravy recipe

        ham steak with red-eye gravy
This ham steak with red-eye gravy is yet another quick and easy dinner to prepare. The ham steak is cooked in the pan until browned and then the gravy is prepared. The gravy has a great taste and gets a lot of flavor from ingredients such as maple syrup and instant espresso. The gravy uses the grease from the cooked bacon but the bacon itself is not actually used in the recipe. You could serve the bacon strips on the side, or I used them in a lettuce salad as a side dish. This recipe also goes great served with some sort of a casserole as a side dish. Enjoy.

          ravioli casserole
This ravioli casserole reminds me of lasagna. Cheese ravioli is layered with a meat sauce and mozzarella and parmesan cheese in a casserole dish and then baked in the oven. The meat sauce is homemade and gets a lot of its flavor from Italian sausage. You can use your favorite brand of ravioli for this recipe. If you are looking for an easy meal, this casserole is easy to prepare and the only real work that is required is preparing the sauce. Serve with garlic bread. Enjoy.

          Carolina slaw dogs recipe

            Carolina Slaw Dogs
Caroline Slaw Dogs are hot dogs topped with beanless chili, coleslaw and mustard. The chili combines ground beef with various ingredients such as onion, tomato paste, ketchup and many more. The coleslaw just uses a basic cabbage and carrot mixture. If you want you can just buy a bag of shredded cabbage and carrots or chop the vegetables yourself. Of course, you can save time by purchasing pre-made coleslaw and canned chili for this recipe but I recommend making both fresh. The hot dogs can be boiled in water or grilled, whichever you would prefer. Serve with potato chips. Enjoy.

              Meatballs and marinara recipe

                meatballs and marinara
Preparing meatballs and marinara sauce is a great idea for dinner. This recipe does require a little bit of effort but it is well worth it. The homemade marinara sauce uses crushed tomatoes and gets a lot of its flavor from onion, garlic, oregano and basil. The meatballs use classic Italian ingredients such as parmesan cheese, Italian sausage, hamburger, and parsley. The meatballs are browned in the oven so there is no need to fry them in hot oil. After the meatballs are browned they are placed into the marinara sauce to simmer until fully cooked. This recipe will make about 8 to 10 servings, so you will be able to feed a large crowd or have leftovers. You can also freeze the meatballs and marinara for up to 1 month. You can serve the meatballs and sauce over pasta such as spaghetti or linguini. I also like to serve them with garlic bread. Enjoy.

The sandwich is loaded with fried shrimp, lettuce, tomato, pickles and a sauce. The shrimp is coated with an egg and flour mixture and then fried in the deep-fryer. The sauce, called Remoulade Sauce, gets a lot of its flavor from ingredients such as mayonnaise, horseradish, and pickle relish. Chicken and broccoli casserole recipe

Quick and easy meals like this chicken and broccoli casserole are my go to dishes for busy nights. This casserole combines chicken, broccoli, rice, cheese, mayonnaise, cream of chicken soup and cornflakes. To save time you can use the meat from a cooked rotisserie chicken. The combination of flavors is great in this recipe and the cornflakes add a really nice crunch to the top of the casserole. I like to add cheese to the mixture and then add an additional layer of cheese under the cornflakes. You can use either white or brown rice for this recipe—I prefer the brown rice personally. Enjoy.

                                                                western sliders
These western burger sliders are topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, homemade onions rings, and BBQ sauce. The burger patties can either be fried in the pan, on a griddle or grilled on an outdoor grill. The best part about this recipe is the homemade onion strings. The onion strings require a little bit of work but it is well worth the extra effort. Thinly sliced onions are dipped first into buttermilk and then rolled in a seasoned flour mixture. The breaded onions are then fried in hot oil until crispy. You can use your favorite BBQ sauce for this recipe. These little burgers make another great recipe for football season. Enjoy.

The wraps are loaded with provolone cheese, spinach, ham, chicken, and a homemade ranch dressing. The dressing is easily prepared in a blender and gets a lot of its flavor from garlic and chives. I like to use multigrain or wheat wraps for this recipe but you could use flour or spinach wraps as well. The chicken is seasoned, baked in the oven and then sliced into strips. If you want to make this recipe a little easier you could use slices of roast deli chicken instead. Another modification you could make to this recipe if you do not like spinach is to use romaine lettuce instead. I like to serve these delicious wraps with potato chips on the side. Enjoy.

This recipe consists of chicken coated with breadcrumbs and topped with marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese. You can use your favorite brand of marinara sauce or even make your own if you want. This dish is very similar to chicken parmesan with the addition of ricotta cheese. The ingredients can easily be doubled if you want to make enough to serve 4 people. I like to serve this recipe with extra heated marinara and linguini noodles. Enjoy.

It is not too late to fire up the grill for this amazing recipe. This grill glaze can be used on several different types of meat including steak, chicken and pork. You will want to brush this sauce onto whatever type of meat you prefer while it is on the grill. There is only 1 tablespoon of Jack Daniels in this recipe but it gets other amazing flavors from roasted garlic, pineapple and teriyaki sauce. To prepare this glaze, a bulb of garlic is roasted in the oven and then the pulp is mixed with various ingredients and simmered in the pan until the liquid has become thick. This is similar to a BBQ sauce, only much better! Enjoy.

I have not actually tried this grilled cheese at Perkins but the idea sounded delicious. This sandwich is loaded with two crispy chicken strips, bacon, pepper jack cheese, ranch dressing and sour dough bread. The grilled cheese gets a nice kick from the pepper jack and the flavors of chicken, bacon and ranch go perfectly together. The type of bread that is used in this recipe is sourdough but you can experiment with other types of bread if you choose. For the chicken strips you can either use store bought or you can make your own. Using frozen chicken strips from the store will save a lot of time and they can either be deep fried or baked—it’s your choice. Serve with French fries. Enjoy.

Wonton soup consists of wontons that are filled with a pork mixture and then cooked in either chicken broth of water. This recipe cooks the wontons in water because the dish can be served as leftovers. If the soup is allowed to sit the wontons will make the soup cloudy, thick and starchy. If you intend to serve the soup immediately, the wontons can be cooked right in the broth. The broth really only consists of chicken stock and sesame oil. You can add additional ingredients to the broth for a little more flavor such as soy sauce. Soy sauce will also give the broth a darker color, if that is what you prefer. Wonton soup is great to serve for lunch or with any Chinese dinner. Enjoy.

What is great about these brown sugar pork chops is how easy they are to prepare. The pork chops are rubbed with garlic and brown sugar, drizzled with butter, sprinkled with paprika and then are baked. Once the pork chops are almost finished in the oven, they are topped off with shredded Colby-jack cheese. The baking time only takes about 20-25 minutes so these pork chops can be ready in no time at all! I like to serve this dish with wild rice and/or a salad. Enjoy.

For this recipe, we are using the breading from the Spicy Chicken Sandwich recipe and turning it into chicken strips. Most of the heat in these chicken strips come from hot pepper sauce and cayenne pepper. If you want more spice, you can up the amount of cayenne pepper in the flour mixture. This recipe is fairly easy to make—the most work that is required is in breading the chicken pieces. I like to serve these chicken strips with ranch dressing for dipping. Enjoy.

This grilled cheese uses whole wheat bread but you can really use whatever type of bread that you would prefer such as French bread or white bread. The chicken is first marinated in a honey mustard mixture and then grilled. If you do not want to grill the chicken, it can be fried in the pan or baked in the oven as well. This recipe will make two sandwiches but the ingredients can easily be doubled to make more. If you wish to make additional sandwiches you will not need to increase the marinade ingredients. The marinade is enough to marinade about 2lbs of chicken. If you want to save a little time you can use precooked bacon. I like to serve this recipe with a salad or French fries on the side. Enjoy.

There is no browning of the meatballs involved in this recipe, the meatballs are just rolled and then added into the crock pot with the sauce. Using ground turkey is a healthier alternative from ground beef. The only use of a frying pan in this recipe is to brown the garlic. If you want more sauce you can add an extra can of crushed tomatoes. This recipe uses standard Italian meatball ingredients such as egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, parmesan cheese and seasonings. When you roll the meatballs, try and roll them softly. You do not want to pack the meatballs too tight because they will become tough while cooking. These meatballs go great served over pasta. Enjoy.

This seasoning will give your steak a delicious flavor just like from your favorite steakhouse. What is really great about this seasoning recipe is that you probably have all of the ingredients on hand. The amounts of the seasoning can easily be doubled or tripled if you want to make large batches to store for future use. The amount of seasoning in this recipe should season about 4 steaks on both sides. This seasoning goes great on grilled or pan-fried steaks. Enjoy.
